+ Robotic Self Inspection
One of the requirements of the Google Lunar X PRIZE was for the rover to view at least 40% of its surface area. In order to do this, I designed lightweight aluminum parabolic mirrors which would allow the rover a better view of itself. This view would include the rover in the setting of the moon as well as a good look at our wheels interacting with the lunar soil. Additionally, this allowed for us to view our customer logos and the Google Lunar X PRIZE logo (also a requirement).
